Snowshoe Sam’s has offered good food and good times to locals and to countless visitors to Big White Ski Resort near Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, since 1980. Our pub has been voted #1 Après Ski Bar in North America by the Good Ski & Snowboard Guide of the UK, as well as awarded the title of #1 Ski Bar in Canada by Ski Canada Magazine. IHOP restaurants feature moderately priced, high-quality food and beverage items, and table service in an attractive and comfortable atmosphere. Although IHOP restaurants are best known for their award-winning pancakes, omelettes and other breakfast specialties, IHOP restaurants are open throughout the day and evening hours and offer a broad array of lunch, dinner and snack items as well. More than 99 percent of IHOP restaurants are operated by franchisees, who are independent business people. Our management belief is that an equity involved franchisee is very responsive to the needs of the guest. As of September 30, 2009, there were 1,433 IHOP restaurants located in 50 states, Canada and Mexico.

99 percent of IHOP locations are owned by independent franchisees. As such we feel they are best able to judge the appropriate hours for their IHOP. Our minimum hours of operation are as follows:

The original idea was thought up by Kelsey’s owner Paul Jeffrey and its president Nils Kravis. In 1999, Cara Operations obtained controlling interest in Kelsey’s, including the Montana’s chain. Cara completed its acquisition of the entire company 2002. As of 2009, the president of Montana’s is Andy O’Brien, who is also president of Kelsey’s.

Chef Rob Feenie is part of the Cactus Club Test Kitchen, where he permanently resides as Food Concept Architect.

From France to North America, Chef Feenie is revered for his mastery of French cuisine. Throughout his career, he has worked along side various world renowned Chefs including Emile Jung, Charlie Trotter and Jean-Georges Vongerichten to name a few. Chef Feenie has received the Relais Gourmand Designation, and was awarded the Traditions et Qualite & AAA Five Diamond Award in 2003.

In addition to publishing three cookbooks and starring in New Classics with Chef Rob Feenie on Food Network Canada for five seasons, he is most noted for claiming the lucrative Iron Chef title after defeating Chef Masaharu Morimoto on the Food Network’s Iron Chef America. Today, Vancouverites affectionately refer to him as “Our Iron Chef.”

Inspired from his travels through Europe, Chef Feenie’s cooking personality can be clearly distinguished as French. France is revered to many as the “motherland of the culinary world” and classic French cooking techniques, ingredients and flavour profiles arguably build the foundation for the culinary industry.

All of Chef Feenies’s dishes are clean and simple in construction, allowing premium ingredients to take the lead role. Local purveyors, local bakers, local produce and the best quality ingredients are used in each “RF Signature” dish. Chef Feenie demands the best of the best, 100% of the time – whether it be the AAA Alberta beef tenderloin in the Beef Carpaccio or the Italian San Danielle prosciutto in the Spinach Salad – the highest quality elements are always selected.
