<p>Our menu is a labour of love. We have something for any time of day, occasion, and appetite. We have appetizers as appealing as our entrees, and entrees that taste as good as they look. Plus, there&#8217;s a selection of wines that we will pair with any of your menu choices, masterfully. To further enhance our menu, we have daily features crafted by our executive chef. <h2>A Flavourful History</h2>
<p>Founded in 1989, Milestone’s Grill and Bar is an upscale casual dining restaurant that originated in Vancouver on English Bay. Today, Milestone’s boasts over 35 restaurants located in the provinces of British Columbia, Ontario and Alberta. On an annual basis, Milestone’s serves more than 5.5 million guests, a true testament to its commitment to providing Canadians with innovative and quality menu items served in a vibrant and social atmosphere.</p>
<p>A Foundation Built on Innovation and Research<br />
Founded by Wayne Holm and Peter Bonner, Milestone’s is a product of innovative thought and careful market research.<br />
In the late 1980s, research showed that consumers were looking for a more sophisticated dining experience, and that the upscale casual dining segment was underdeveloped.<br />
Milestone’s embraced the opportunity to develop this new segment of dining, creating a largely unrecognized concept: a group of casual upscale dining restaurants that adhered to philosophy and quality standards, but that were given the freedom to personalize by region.<br />
Vancouver was the natural incubator for developing this new segment of dining as the restaurant’s West Coast location had little outside competition being geographically distanced from the east and the city’s customer base too small to attract U.S. brands.</p>

<h3>From Spectra to Cara</h3>
<p>Milestone’s was originally part of the Spectra Group of Great Restaurants, a multi-concept restaurant group headquartered in Vancouver and owned by partners Wayne Holm and Peter Bonner.<br />
Included in the group of restaurants was The Boathouse, The Bread Garden, PJ Burgers and under license from Brinker International, Romano’s Macaroni Grill.<br />
In 1991, the original PJ’s on 4th Avenue was converted to a Milestone’s which quickly became a local favourite.<br />
Over the course of the next three years, all PJ Burger locations were closed and were converted to Milestone’s.<br />
In the 1990s, Milestone’s expanded throughout the Lower Mainland and entered smaller, outlying markets within British Columbia. Despite the competitive market during this time, the brand continued to thrive, thus grabbing the attention of Cara Restaurants Limited.<br />
A corporate partner of Milestone’s since 1995, Cara and Wayne Holm purchased Milestone’s from Spectra Restaurants in 2002.</p>

<p>Mark Filatow, the very talented chef at 764, also oversees the food and wine at the well-known Waterfront Restaurant &amp; Wine Bar. Mark’s dishes marry bold flavours, international influences and fresh, local ingredients that epitomize the Okanagan. The progressive and innovative wine program (buy two glasses and we we’ll open any bottle in the house) includes hard-to-find local wines as well as international classics.</p>
<p>As locals know, 764 is the telephone pre-fix for the Mission area which defines the sophisti-casual style and wine-savvy nature of its residents.</p>

<p>The Ridge Restaurant serves sumptuous meals made from local, natural ingredients. Visitors are invited to relax in a beautiful country hideaway setting and enjoy a panoramic view of Kelowna. Lunch is served daily from mid-April through October, and the restaurant is open in the evenings for private group functions year-round.</p>
<p>Award-winning executive chef, Travis Hackl, plans all of the menus at The Ridge. Hackl is a partner in Okanagan’s Finest Foods, which includes full-service catering and a line of quality natural vinaigrettes. Their Ginger Ginger Soy Vinaigrette, Garlic Herb Vinaigrette and Dill Mustard Dressing are now available throughout the Okanagan as well as in Vancouver.</p>
<p>Restaurant chef, Todd Hollet, handles the day-to-day operations at The Ridge. Hollet’s terrific personality and flair make him the ideal chef for the restaurant’s open kitchen.</p>
<p>The restaurant is a former private home, which was renovated in the spring of 2000. Fall evenings are special at The Ridge. A blazing fire and the sparkling lights of the city combine to create an intimate atmosphere. Recently named one of the “best places to kiss” in the guidebook, The Best Places To Kiss in the Pacific Northwest, The Ridge is ideal for special occasions of all kinds.</p>
<p>The Ridge can accommodate up to 60 guests for a sit-down meal indoors. An additional 60 guests can be seated on the patio and adjoining veranda, weather permitting. The green space on the property can accommodate tenting for groups of up to 200 people.</p>

<p>Cactus Club’s culinary vision is lead by Canada’s only Iron Chef, Rob Feenie<br />
Chef Rob Feenie is part of the Cactus Club Test Kitchen, where he permanently resides as Food Concept Architect.</p>
<p>From France to North America, Chef Feenie is revered for his mastery of French cuisine. Throughout his career, he has worked along side various world renowned Chefs including Emile Jung, Charlie Trotter and Jean-Georges Vongerichten to name a few. Chef Feenie has received the Relais Gourmand Designation, and was awarded the Traditions et Qualite &amp; AAA Five Diamond Award in 2003.</p>
<p>In addition to publishing three cookbooks and starring in New Classics with Chef Rob Feenie on Food Network Canada for five seasons, he is most noted for claiming the lucrative Iron Chef title after defeating Chef Masaharu Morimoto on the Food Network’s Iron Chef America. Today, Vancouverites affectionately refer to him as “Our Iron Chef.”</p>
<p>Inspired from his travels through Europe, Chef Feenie’s cooking personality can be clearly distinguished as French. France is revered to many as the “motherland of the culinary world” and classic French cooking techniques, ingredients and flavour profiles arguably build the foundation for the culinary industry.</p>
<p>All of Chef Feenies’s dishes are clean and simple in construction, allowing premium ingredients to take the lead role. Local purveyors, local bakers, local produce and the best quality ingredients are used in each “RF Signature” dish. Chef Feenie demands the best of the best, 100% of the time – whether it be the AAA Alberta beef tenderloin in the Beef Carpaccio or the Italian San Danielle prosciutto in the Spinach Salad – the highest quality elements are always selected.</p>

<p>The Harvest Grille is open during the golf season mid March (weather depending) to October.</p>
<p>The Harvest Grille offers a casual setting and an extensive menu selection to tempt every palate. The Grille and outside patio are ideal for breakfast, lunch or dinner. A great place to relax with friends and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Okanagan.</p>
