Subcity Donairs Kelowna

At Subcity Donair we are dedicated to making the best donairs and subs at an affordable price. We use only the best top sirloin, added with our own blend of 23 herbs and spices, to give you a mouth watering experience like never before. Our boneless, skinless chicken breast is baked fresh, each day with a Mediterranean flare of spices and blends. Customers line up every day, as it comes out of our oven steaming.

Subcity Donair has created a special menu for our “Veggie Lovers” in mind. Each establishment caries an “ Out Of This World” falafel, prepared right in front of you with sauces and veggies to compliment each sandwich. Our spinach pie is baked fresh and served with or famous Tzatziki Sauce. And but of course, we carry soups and salads for a light snack or a great addition to any sandwich we prepare for you.

A Flavourful History

Founded in 1989, Milestone’s Grill and Bar is an upscale casual dining restaurant that originated in Vancouver on English Bay. Today, Milestone’s boasts over 35 restaurants located in the provinces of British Columbia, Ontario and Alberta. On an annual basis, Milestone’s serves more than 5.5 million guests, a true testament to its commitment to providing Canadians with innovative and quality menu items served in a vibrant and social atmosphere.

A Foundation Built on Innovation and Research
Founded by Wayne Holm and Peter Bonner, Milestone’s is a product of innovative thought and careful market research.
In the late 1980s, research showed that consumers were looking for a more sophisticated dining experience, and that the upscale casual dining segment was underdeveloped.
Milestone’s embraced the opportunity to develop this new segment of dining, creating a largely unrecognized concept: a group of casual upscale dining restaurants that adhered to philosophy and quality standards, but that were given the freedom to personalize by region.
Vancouver was the natural incubator for developing this new segment of dining as the restaurant’s West Coast location had little outside competition being geographically distanced from the east and the city’s customer base too small to attract U.S. brands.

From Spectra to Cara

Milestone’s was originally part of the Spectra Group of Great Restaurants, a multi-concept restaurant group headquartered in Vancouver and owned by partners Wayne Holm and Peter Bonner.
Included in the group of restaurants was The Boathouse, The Bread Garden, PJ Burgers and under license from Brinker International, Romano’s Macaroni Grill.
In 1991, the original PJ’s on 4th Avenue was converted to a Milestone’s which quickly became a local favourite.
Over the course of the next three years, all PJ Burger locations were closed and were converted to Milestone’s.
In the 1990s, Milestone’s expanded throughout the Lower Mainland and entered smaller, outlying markets within British Columbia. Despite the competitive market during this time, the brand continued to thrive, thus grabbing the attention of Cara Restaurants Limited.
A corporate partner of Milestone’s since 1995, Cara and Wayne Holm purchased Milestone’s from Spectra Restaurants in 2002.

Jimmy Ho’s features a variety of stir fries and Asian inspired dishes prepared in giant woks, using only the freshest of meats and vegetables and the most flavourful of sauces. Our entrees come in two convenient sizes – individual and sharable. We also feature a variety of appetizers, soups, salads and desserts to make your meal completely satisfying. We pride ourselves on carefully packaging for take out but there is room at Jimmy Ho’s if you want to eat in – we have family style booth seating for 12 in our intimate and cozy restaurant.

IHOP restaurants, one of Canada’s favorite restaurant chains, are franchised and operated by Glendale, Calif.-based International House of Pancakes, LLC and its affiliates. International House of Pancakes, LLC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of DineEquity, Inc. IHOP restaurants feature moderately priced, high-quality food and beverage items, and table service in an attractive and comfortable atmosphere. Although IHOP restaurants are best known for their award-winning pancakes, omelettes and other breakfast specialties, IHOP restaurants are open throughout the day and evening hours and offer a broad array of lunch, dinner and snack items as well. More than 99 percent of IHOP restaurants are operated by franchisees, who are independent business people. Our management belief is that an equity involved franchisee is very responsive to the needs of the guest. As of September 30, 2009, there were 1,433 IHOP restaurants located in 50 states, Canada and Mexico.

99 percent of IHOP locations are owned by independent franchisees. As such we feel they are best able to judge the appropriate hours for their IHOP. Our minimum hours of operation are as follows:
Sunday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight.

OK Pizza, the all-time best pizza in Kelowna – in business since 2003. We are committed to quality and it shows in our food. We make all of our own pizza dough using a special recipe with protein rich flour. It’s low in fat and is not greasy like many other commerical pizza doughs. Our pizza sauce is a special blend of herbs and spices, mixed to perfection. And all of the pizza toppings are bought fresh from the store, not frozen and no preservatives added. OK Pizza, independently owned and operated in beautiful Kelowna, British Columbia. The owners have been in the food industry since 1995 and OK Pizza has been in operation since 2003.

Our pizza dough is made fresh every day from the finest ingredients. It is made from high protein flour and is not greasy. In addition, our pizza sauce is made fresh from authentic herbs and spices. All of our toppings are purchased fresh from a local supplier and chopped and sliced at the store – we do not purchase frozen toppings. All of our ingredients are made or purchased fresh and are preservative free.
